In 2013 Anton Gerner was commissioned to design and make this unique dining table for a contemporary Melbourne home.  The brief was for a table to seat up to 14 people, with seating to be along the long sides of the table only. The result is this sculptural design that challenges what is possible to construct from wood. The 4.2m unsupported span and twisted legs are achieved by a hidden, engineer designed, steel frame.
